Privacy and cookies

This page explains what data Jose Sanchez processes through kanartools.com, and why. It is short because the site collects very little.

Your files and text are never sent anywhere

Every tool runs inside your browser. The text you type and the audio files you drop in are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to any server. That is why the audio editor has a size limit — the work is done by your computer, not ours. We keep none of that content, because it never reaches us in the first place.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which tools get used and which are not worth maintaining. It only runs if you press Accept on the cookie notice. If you accept, two cookies are stored (_ga and _ga_792810TJ3L) which give your browser a random identifier, and we record which pages you visit, your language, approximate country and device type. We do not know who you are, and we do not combine this with anything else.

If you decline, no analytics cookie is stored. Google does still receive an anonymous signal that the page loaded, carrying no identifier and no cookie.

You can change your mind at any time from the Cookies link in the footer. Withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies immediately.

Server logs

The server hosting these pages keeps a technical record of each request, including your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser. It exists to spot errors and abuse. These logs rotate and are discarded automatically as they fill; they are not used to profile anyone and are never combined with analytics.

Who processes the data

Controller: Jose Sanchez (Spain). Contact: jose.sansan@proton.me.

The lawful basis for analytics is your consent. For server logs it is the legitimate interest in keeping the site running and protected.

Google acts as a processor and handles analytics data outside the European Union, including in the United States.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, its correction or deletion, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by writing to jose.sansan@proton.me. In practice the fastest route for analytics is to withdraw consent from the footer, which clears the cookies on the spot.

If you believe we are handling your data improperly, you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

What we do not do

There are no accounts and no sign-up, we do not ask for your email, we send no newsletters, we do not sell or share data with third parties, and there is currently no advertising. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
